On October 31, 2023 Jago Nari Unnayon Sangstha (JNUS) held a dialogue on the role of women’s rights and civil society organizations in identifying key issues and developing action plan to advance the Women, Peace, and Security Agenda and support the National Action Plan on Women Peace and Security.

The event, in association with the Bangladesh Nari Progati Sangha (BNPS), was funded by the UN Women. Twenty participants from various organizations attended the dialogue, which was inaugurated by Ms. Sheuly Sharma, Executive Director of JNUS, and the Executive Committee members. Participants shared their experiences and challenges in implementing the WPS Agenda, brainstormed strategies to strengthen women’s rights, and emphasized the importance of collaboration and collective action to address systemic barriers. The dialogue concluded with a commitment to creating a more inclusive and gender-responsive society.
