Who we are
Message from Executive Director
Over the years, the efforts of JNUS have earned due recognition from the local communities, partners and concerned authorities for promoting gender equality and women empowerment. JNUS has implemented a number of different initiatives and programmes with the support of national and international partners. From its long experience, JNUS believes that the inter- community collaboration and connectivity across communities and institutions will be helpful for peaceful coexistence among the two communities. The achievements of JNUS are also reflected among local communities in the form of better awareness and actions on trafficking, child marriage, sexual harassment, health rights, child rights, WASH, climate change, environmental protection, disaster management, human rights issues of vulnerable, marginal and excluded communities. JNUS firmly believes that women empowerment at all level will accelerate implementation of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and other global development priorities. JNUS has proven and long experience on undertaking advocacy, building networks, administering trainings, enhancing capacity, developing quality policy papers, documents and conducting research in collaboration with national and international institutions.
