Persons with disabilities are more at risk. Therefore, JNUS integrated them into its DRR & Development programmes. JNUS has already implemented a project focused on empowering persons with disabilities designed to promote inclusivity and equal opportunities, ensuring that individuals with disabilities have access to essential services, and technology. JNUS developed Disability Inclusive Disaster Risk Reduction (DIDRR) training module to strengthen the capacity of own staff, partners and various Disaster Management Committees that include DDMC, UZ-DMC, UDMC & WDMC as per Standing Orders on Disaster (SOD) created by Department of Disaster Management (DDM) under Ministry of Disaster Management and Relief.
