Funded by AMERICARES Inc, USA, and implementedby Jago Nari Unnayon Sangstha by the project runs from May to August 2023, offering crucial health support to the camp residents.
The event titled “Improving Access to Emergency Health and Primary Healthcare Services in Kutupalong Camp, Ukhiya, Cox’s Bazar” focuses on aiding the Rohingya community affected by the March 2023 fire in camp 11. Its primary goal is to enhance the livelihoods of these displaced individuals. Key activities include providing medical consultations and medication to 600 individuals, educating 500 women and adolescents on menstrual hygiene and providing them with necessary kits, and supplying nutrition supplements to 150 pregnant mothers. The project team comprises a Medical Officer, a Medical Assistant, two volunteers (from both Rohingya and host communities), a dispenser, and a cleaner.
